We wear our faith on our sleeve. Our foundation is built on our belief in power of the resurrected Christ and it is Him that gives us our heart to serve people, no matter their past or circumstances. We believe in a Triune God and the authority of the Scriptures. When you meet with us you are going to hear about Jesus. With that being said, there is no religious test for people entering our program. We welcome all who want to change their lives, regardless of whether they share our beliefs. Independent Living
At Nehemiah, we are laser-focused on our vision of ensuring that every person in Washington County has the opportunity and resources to live independently. That is no easy task. There are thousands in our community who cannot afford to live on their own, nor do they have the support or necessary skills to do so. Therefore, we have made it our mission to rebuild lives with a holistic approach, providing resources for independent living.

When we get to work with a new client, we make a strategic plan to manifest 6 things in their life that we believe give them the stability live independently:

Housing
Recovery
Spiritual development
Many of us take these things for granted, but restoring them changes a person’s whole outlook on life and gives them the building blocks for success in the world. These pillars serve as the template for a client graduating from our program.
