Community
From the beginning, Nehemiah has always been about building community. At Room at the Inn, it will be scaled up to a new level. When you come to our table, you are part of the family. Groups and classes are not just lectures, but opportunities for participants to learn from each other’s stories and encourage one another in their journey. We can do so much more when we have a supporting community around us, cheering us on. The program at Room at the Inn will start off on Day 1, building a strong family support system that can sustain our participants for the long journey of recovery.

Hands-on Ministry
Even more than the buildings, our greatest asset is our people. Our staff works personally and tirelessly with all our participants to make sure they have the knowledge, tools and support they need to succeed in every aspect of their recovery. We walk alongside them for everything from getting a driver’s license to preparing for a job interview. Recovery is not a solitary process. We provide the teaching, training and hands-on support a person needs to transform their life.
Room at the Inn
Coming soon, we will be expanding our much-needed ministry! We are remodeling the former Emerald Inn into a 140-bed transitional living program. This program will take the same principles and personalized resources from our recovery houses and multiply them to reach more people. We want to transition as many people as possible into independent living, so we have designed this program around providing the practical needs of our participants. Our deep community combined with the increased resources and the hands-on ministry of our staff is going to change a lot of lives in Washington County!
Resources
Besides multiplying the number of beds, Room at the Inn will provide new opportunities and new benefits for our participants. A full-service kitchen will provide 3 meals a day, plus opportunities to serve and learn about the food service industry. Conference rooms will provide a place to host events, plus room to host our own church service on Sundays. Our 60 independent units in the back provide time for participants to save and prepare to launch into their own independent life.
